About The Role:
As we grow our business and our group of companies, an exciting opportunity has opened up in our Learning & Development (L&D) team.
We are looking for an individual who can support our drive to develop our people through various training initiatives. This role will report to the L&D Manager and is based in Leicester. There will be a requirement to travel to our other sites when required.
The Senior L&D Executive is responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify training and development needs, designing and delivering effective learning programs, and measuring the impact of training initiatives. This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, instructional design expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of adult learning principles.
The role will include (but not limited to):
- Ability to conduct learning needs analysis across the business, looking at where there are skills gaps
- Developing strategic learning and development plans, supporting organisational goals
- Supporting development of other L&D Executives, Induction Co-ordinators and Trainers
- Designing, creating, developing and updating engaging and interactive training programs
- Delivering and coordinating training sessions either face to face or via a blended learning approach, to any grade of employee
- Leading train the trainer sessions to ensure training is delivered correctly
- Measuring and assessing training impact on the business and individuals
- Observing and delivering feedback to other trainers to ensure they are delivering training to expected standards
- Using feedback and data to make continuous improvement to training plans
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, external partners and learning providers where needed, to create comprehensive training solutions
- Leverage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other technologies to administer, deliver, track and report on training initiatives
- Assist in managing organisational change by developing training programs that support employees during transitions, such as new technology implementations or process changes
- Incorporate diversity and inclusion through the ATM Together initiative into training programs to create an inclusive learning environment
- Support and signpost colleagues of any grade to develop their knowledge, skills and career prospects through the ATM Accelerate programme
About You:
- Minimum of 1 year’ experience of training delivery or training development
- Experience of coaching on a 1-2-1 basis and training larger groups across different grades of employees
- Ability to travel to all sites when required
- Excellent knowledge of different adult learning styles
- Trainer or Training Designer qualifications is desirable (or willing to work towards in the future)
- Experience of using Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems and other Learning/Design applications
