Job Title: Senior Human Resources Adviser
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £32,910 – £35,745 pro rata
Job type: Part Time (18.5hours per week), Temporary contract to cover maternity for up to 7 months

This role presents an opportunity to join the Employee Relations team during an exciting time and will provide you with an opportunity to work with the HR Manager and wider team to contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
You must have the ability to work effectively with managers, be a confident communicator with the ability to persuade others, build relationships and provide sound advice.
The Role:
As an experienced HR professional, qualified to CIPD level 7, with significant previous experience and a comprehensive knowledge of employment law, you will be required to support the HR Manager with the delivery of key projects as well as giving advice to manager across the whole range of employee relations issues, to include more complex cases, as well as supporting organisational change initiatives and TUPE as well as developing policies and management training and sharing your knowledge and experience with other members of the team.

Key Requirements:
Experience:
- Significant experience of working at either an HR Adviser/Employee Relations Adviser/Senior HR Adviser level with exposure across the full remit of employee relations issues (discipline, grievance, capability, absence)
- Experience of advising managers regarding high volume absence and disciplinary matters
- Experience of supporting and advising managers regarding organisational change
- Experience of reviewing, developing and updating Human resources policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice
- Experience of developing and delivering management training
Qualifications:
- CIPD qualified at level 7
Special Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Employment Law and the application of HR policies and procedures
- Understanding of effective Recruitment and Selection and a range of different selection methods and tools including carrying out interviews
- Good understanding of and commitment to both quality and equality in service delivery and management
