We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.

The Role

This is a great time to join GamCare as we’re recruiting a Finance & HR Systems Project Manager which is an opportunity for you to help successfully oversee the selection, project development and implementation of a new Finance & HR system for GamCare. You’ll work collaboratively with the Head of Finance, Finance team, HR team and across all Directorates within GamCare in compiling and owning the project plan and managing associated risks.

Crucially, you’ll will be responsible for owning the project end-to-end and in making sure it is delivered within the allocated time and budget.

About You

As the successful candidate you’ll have extensive, demonstrable experience of delivering Finance or HR Systems. Communication is key so you’ll be an exceptional influencer with previous experience of managing projects while providing a proactive business support service. As a tech savvy professional, you’ll have honed your skills to allow you to manage cross-functional teams in an agile and dynamic manner across GamCare.

You’ll have a working knowledge of medium scale business finance systems such as Quickbooks, SAGE, MS Dynamics, or similar platforms. As a key member of the team, you’ll have the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of seniority across the organisation where you’ll handle hight priority requests with tact and diplomacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gathering business requirements, process mapping, gap analysis, requirements discovery, user story writing and propose system development plan.
  • Sense-check all business requirements with the Head of Finance; analyse project needs, project scoping and actioning the creative process for the full project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder management & taking requests from the business; you will be skilled at “translating” business talk to the technical team and tech talk to senior stakeholders within GamCare.
  • Be the first point of contact for the project; work closely with the internal stakeholders and the external Finance & HR system developer.
  • Responsible for setting goals, objectives, defining roles and responsibilities, producing schedules and timelines to ensure it is clearly communicated to the internal and the external stakeholders.
  • Own the project plan to make sure resources are allocated for key activities such as data cleansing, mapping, access control, design, functional & user acceptance testing, training, implementation, and reporting.
