Job Title: Senior Consultant – Team Lead (maternity cover)

Salary: £45,000 – £65,000 per annum (experience depending)

3Keel is a small, specialist, Oxford/London-based sustainability consultancy.
We are looking for an experienced consultant and team lead to head up a team in our Commodities Practice Area in a maternity cover position. The team is at the heart of our highly successful consultancy services, focussed on delivering high quality supply chain analysis, risk advisory and strategy for our roster of world-renowned clients.
This maternity cover role will be 12 months in duration and will give the successful candidate a unique opportunity to lead a high achieving and ambitious team, overseeing and directing project work, helping to refine and improve on previous years’ performance and develop training and upskilling pathways for junior staff in this developing area of the business.
It will also be a great chance to learn about data-driven, commodities supply-chain work and to work within the practice area leadership team, and as part of 3Keel’s Extended Leadership Team, contributing to discussions regarding the direction of the growing business and commodities work over the coming year.

- Demonstrable team leadership, line management experience
- Adept at both supporting colleagues and team working at all levels
- Considerable project/budget management experience and/or experience of working in previous consultancy roles
- Excellent client relationship management abilities
- Organised and systematic approach to work
- Adaptability to turn hand to exploit new opportunities and to tackle unforeseen challenges that emerge
- Excellent communications, research and report writing skills
- Ability to engage with and work across a range of client-based teams with different levels of technical understanding, perspectives and needs
- Experience and confidence in engaging with corporate clients with an ability to accommodate a range of different business cultures and perspectives
- Passion for finding solutions to complex sustainability problems
- Proficiency in using Excel
- Organised and systematic approach to work
- Clear and engaging writing style, excellent verbal communication and the ability to present complex information in a client-friendly way
- Confidence for external presentations
Other stuff (desirable skills):
- Mentoring and/or coaching experience
- Ability to develop training programmes and pathways for junior staff
- Passion for finding solutions to complex sustainability problems
- Knowledge of FMCG supply chains, food systems, commodity production and sourcing
- Experience of leading and managing multiple stakeholder, multi-year programmes of work
- Technically-minded with experience of working with data, with proven experience presenting complex analyses and data thoughtfully and effectively
- Data collection, cleaning and management skills. Experience of data analytics, visualisation and practical business intelligence software (e.g. intermediate to advanced MS Excel, MS PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik)
- Business development and proposal-writing experience
- Experience of planning and running effective multi-stakeholder workshops and meetings.
