This position is a Hybrid role based in London or close to one of our offices in Edinburgh, Reading, Bournemouth and/or Birmingham.
The Role:
Our clients are looking for assistance navigating the vast array of services available within a public cloud, as well as expert setup and configuration in line with best-practice guidelines, complete with the requisite monitoring and alerts. As a Cloud specialist, one of your primary responsibilities is to respond to customer requests, incident tickets, and change requests and record those appropriately in our service desk system and deal with them to ensure the customers enjoy an awesome service!
One of the key aspects of the role will be to assist new and existing customers on their journey to the public cloud from either on-prem or other private or public cloud services and to deploy new environments or services.
You will also support our clients with navigating the vast array of services available within Azure, as well as expert setup and configuration.
Essential Skills / Experience:
- 3+ years public cloud environment design, deployment, and support experience
- 3+ years VMware experience, within a large-scale environment, with a high standard of vSphere knowledge (ideally including 6.7)
- Good working knowledge of core public cloud infrastructure components
- Deployment of Virtual Networks and Hybrid Cloud Networks
- Knowledge of cloud security-related services – Load Balancers, Secrets Management, Firewalls,
- Backup & Disaster Recovery (ideally Veeam and/or Zerto)
- Monitoring – e.g. Nagios / Zabbix / Solarwinds / PRTG
- SAN storage arrays (ideally at least one of Pure, Dell EMC or Dell EqualLogic)
- Confident in obtaining requirements and creating designs to meet technical challenges for our customers
- Microsoft 365, Endpoint Management, and Azure AD experience
- Azure or AWS Certifications Associate level
