Job Title: Laboratory Technician

The Company, a global and fast expanding business, focusing on the provision of process safety laboratory testing and technical consultancy to blue chip Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Personal Healthcare manufacturers in the UK and internationally.
An exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced but friendly commercial testing laboratory based in Winchester. The role involves receiving and booking samples for testing, preparation of samples for testing physical combustion properties and laboratory hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake Physical properties testing of samples (dust, gases and vapours) from clients.
- Sample booking
- Sample Preparation
- Data analysis
- Laboratory hygiene
The Candidate:
Candidates should ideally have A Level /BSc (or equivalent) qualification in a science subject. Familiar with working to recognised quality standards such as ISO/IEC 17025, GLP or ISO 9001 would be advantageous, however, training will be provided. Familiarity with MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook is also required.
Skills / Knowledge and Experience:
- Good IT proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ideal Core Skills:
- Attention to detail.
- Thorough and methodical in the production of data.
- Good team worker.
Desirable skills
- Familiarity with ISO 17025, GLP, ISO 9001 or other quality standards
- Routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
Candidates must live within commuting distance of Winchester, UK.
