Job Title: Event Sales & Marketing Manager

The Society is a registered Charity whose primary objective is to support, champion and promote agriculture throughout Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands region.
This is delivered by improving awareness, educating the public, academic and practical support programmes and by organising and delivering shows and events including the Nottinghamshire County Show (B2C), the Newark Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show (B2C – heritage and enthusiast) and the Midlands Machinery Show (B2B).
The Role
They are now seeking an experienced, professional Event Sales & Marketing Manager with a minimum 3 years sales & marketing experience, preferably in an event management environment.
Working in a busy event team, promoting and delivering sales generation and developing sponsorship revenue streams, exceptional customer service and proactive marketing of the Society and its events.
The Charity also operates a busy trading subsidiary to generate income in support of its activities, however, your main responsibility will be for all sales and marketing activities of the Society itself and its three major shows.
Specifically, this will include the management of on-line digital e-marketing, website and social media marketing as well as pro-active sales activities including campaign promotion and facilitation, sales presentations and meetings, B2B and direct marketing, the design and implementation of supporting collateral, literature and materials, attendance and presentation at networking events and assisting in the production of all sales and marketing plans.
Ideally you will have/be:
- Results driven with substantial knowledge and proven sales experience with the event management sector including a focus on attendance, trade stand space and sponsorship packages
- Experience and enjoyment of preparing and presenting sales packages and have great attention to detail
- Possess relevant marketing experience including digital marketing to increase footfall and attendance at shows and events
- A thorough understanding of the use of key digital media platforms will be essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- The ability to work under pressure, to organise and prioritise effectively, be flexible and have a commitment to do everything that is required to get the job done
- Self-motivated, results driven and have the ability to maintain focus on the achievement of revenue generation and sales targets

Please note: The position is primarily office based at Newark Showground from Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekends, however, travel to customer and other locations will be required on a periodic basis.
