Job Title: Sales Call Handler / Administrator

Salary: £19,000 to £22,500 pa dependent on experience

We are excited to be working with a dynamic and rapidly growing family-owned business in Preston to recruit a sales call handler / administrator to work within our established team. Gafoor is a key player in their sector operating on a national basis, supplying poultry products to a range of both leading blue chip manufacturers and local retailers.
In this role you will be responsibility for liaising with our customers to achieve sales and growth targets. You will be offering a seamless and outstanding customer service to support with queries, orders and follow up new opportunities. You will also undertake all routine administrative duties linked to sales order processing. You will need to be an approachable and confident individual who is able to quickly and effectively establish and maintain customer relationships in order to help increase sales and contribute to the success of the business. It is also essential to have a keen eye of detail and excellent numerical work.

About the role:
Support the sales team in all aspects of the sales function when required including: –
- Sales order processing
- Liaise with current customers directly (via telephone and email) providing excellent customer service at all times
- Handle speculative customer calls and respond to queries via phone and email
- Assist in the maintenance and reporting of sales data
- Set up new customer accounts including vetting
- Ensure all records, systems and paperwork are kept up-to-date.
- Assist with updating production plans and responding to changes
- Signposting and passing through non sales enquiries to the relevant department
- Assist in the arrangement of despatch documentation
- Assist with after-sales queries including order tracking or issues including shortages
About you:
- Excellent verbal, reading and writing in English plus conversational Urdu is essential in order to communicate and take orders from our existing retail customers
- Confident and approachable
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Proficient in all MS I.T packages
- Experience of working in a similar role
- Commercial awareness, with the ability to negotiate and think on your feet to close a sale
- Self-motivated with a passion for sales
