Job Title: Sales Applications Engineer

Location: Scarborough (Consideration will be given to home working)

Salary: £32,250 per year.

Job Type: Full Time – Permanent. A flexible approach to working hours is required.

The Role:

This is a technical sales role to identify product and service requirements to clients that are

technically and commercially accurate and appropriate to meet identified needs/issues.

You will also provide technical support to the other sales areas within the business.

Duties/Requirements:

  • Review client requirements, specifications, and drawings to create a technical solution.
  • Create a client proposal including accurate costings, specifications, and value proposition.
  • Suggest appropriate solutions to customer ensure the proposal meets customer and company expectations.
  • Liaise with Operations to ensure timely delivery and suggest recommendations where appropriate.
  • Follow up quotation with customer to ensure requirements have been met.
  • Carryout site visits and surveys as required.
  • Provide product technical support to the sales team and customers
  • Ensure EFACS is kept updated and information is entered accurately.
  • To contribute to the achievement of department and business KPI objectives.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by the line manager.

Qualifications Required:

  • HNC/HND or Degree in a Science/technical subject.
  • Administrative Skills.
  • Keyboard and computer literacy with a high-level competency in MS Excel (spreadsheet skills).

Experience Required:

  • Strong product understanding with correct application. Essentially for both AC & DC UPS.
  • An understanding of ERP IT systems.
  • Good communication skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Good planning, organisational and resourcing skills.
  • Experience in EFACS or equivalent management systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Self disciplined and able to demonstrate the ability to work remotely whilst maintaining links with the rest of the team.
