Salary: £29,174 – £31,895 per annum
Job Type: Full Time (37 hrs per week), Fixed term until 31 March 2023

The Role:
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the East Suffolk Council’s Housing Needs Team as a Rough Sleeping Co-Ordinator.
The government’s Rough Sleeping Strategy gives a commitment to halve rough sleeping by 2022 and end it by 2027.
East Suffolk Council is working hard to deliver against this challenging target.
Working closely alongside the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and our statutory and voluntary sector partners, we are delivering a range of initiatives to prevent rough sleeping, and to help rough sleepers off the streets and into sustainable accommodation.
Our Rough Sleeping Co-ordinator is crucial to this work. In this role you will co-ordinate rough sleeping initiatives and service responses across the wider community, promoting joined up partnership working and best practice across statutory and voluntary services. You will also act as a point of contact for all rough sleeping related matters.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- To be a problem solver
- Substantial experience of working with a range of statutory and voluntary organisations in a housing related context
- Sound understanding and working knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
