Job Title: Rough Sleeper SAFE Coordinator

Salary: £27,741 – £29,577 per annum
Job type: Full Time – 37 hours per week, Contract – 12 months (With the possibility of extending past 1 year)

The role:
As a Rough Sleeper/SAFE (Services for Adults Facing Exclusion) Coordinator you will be working with those people in the district who are rough sleeping, at risk of rough sleeping or considered at risk of facing exclusion from services. You will carry a caseload of up to 15 people with multiple and complex needs (some of which will be entrenched rough sleepers). You will provide a holistic and coordinated support for all customers, from first contact in a street setting, through to them achieving a more settled and fulfilled lifestyle.
You will be part of the Council’s Housing Options team working alongside the Community Safety HUB and Harrogate Homeless Projects Springboard Services. The role will involve you working in a multi-agency setting, co-ordinating services on behalf of this customer group.
About you:
The ideal candidates will have the ability to work using a supportive person-centred approach, with individuals who have been rough sleeping and the trauma associated with that. You will also have experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs, knowledge of the current welfare system, private rented sector and understand the barriers to engagement. Additionally, you will need be able to work flexibly and creatively according to the needs and patterns of the cohort, which will entail street-based work alongside other services.
Opportunity for training will be offered, alongside the options to shadow both statutory and voluntary organisations.
