The role:
Join our team at Shepherd & Woodward’s Oxford High Street store as a retail Administrator. You’ll be the friendly face customers and suppliers first connect with, handling a variety of phone enquiries. Reporting directly to the Shop Manager, you’ll provide vital administrative support to our shop floor team particularly in connection with our website. A working partnership with your colleagues will be central to your success in this role. Precision, organisation, and strong communication skills are a must but we’ll provide full comprehensive training. In this role you will experience various aspects of retail, and also lend a hand on the shop floor when needed. This role promises an enriching retail journey for the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing shop and telephone support dealing with day-to-day queries.
- Assisting with business and revenue generating opportunities by working with the Team.
- Aiding the Academic Team with preparation and administration of the student collection and return system.
- Email correspondence as requested by other members of the shop floor team.
- Assisting the Shop Managers in administrative actions.
- Working on the shop floor, serving customers through busy periods.
- Monitoring social media, and updating social media streams.
- Administration of website, orders, returns and customer enquiries.
- Aiding with successful stock takes and administration of stock.
The Candidate:
- This is an ideal role for someone who would like to learn about retail from the shop floor up
- Proficiency on computers with both word and excel (essential)
- Enthusiastic with an excellent Telephone manner
- Organised and keen to learn about new skills and systems
- Experience is preferred but not essential, enthusiasm and character is more important than experience as full training will be given.
