Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Newton Solney, Burton Upon Trent, DE15 0TA
Salary: £17,298.84 to £19,833.84 (dependant on qualifications and experience)
Hours: Full Time, Permanent
This School in Burton upon Trent specialises in autism, speech and language disorders, moderate to severe learning difficulties and associated behavioural difficulties.
Through their work they also have also developed skills in achieving significant progress and successful outcomes for children and young people with Prader Willi Syndrome.
You will:
- Gain experience working within the classroom in the onsite school setting. By providing care and education the School ensures that children’s individual programmes are delivered consistently. The focus is to provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment where young people’s skills and aspirations can be encouraged to develop
- Plan and support in a variety of activities, recently this has included African Drumming, trampolining, residential trips both in the UK and abroad, music and art therapy
- Update paperwork, administering medication (training provided), and delivering personal care
The role also includes training in areas such as Safeguarding, First Aid, Health and Safety & Non-Abusive Physical and Psychological Intervention and will also begin the role by shadowing one of the experienced team members.

- Candidates must be willing to undertake accredited courses within the time set
- Candidates must be able and willing to work shifts that include evening and weekends
