Job Title: Residential Childcare Worker
Location: Brighton and Hove, East Sussex
Salary: £21,673.00 [£10.42 per hour] (no prior experience and becomes TC1 after probation)
£21,999.00 [£10.58 per hour] (some prior experience and becomes TC2 after probation)
Job type: Permanent – From 24-40 hours per week shift-working
Early: 7:30am – 3:30pm
Late: 3:30pm – 10:30pm
About us:
Working in our Therapeutic Homes and supporting children attending our Therapeutic School, your role and duties are similar to those of a Therapeutic Carer, except that you will also be undertaking our 6-month work-based basic training programme that will equip you with the skills and knowledge allowing you to be considered for automatic promotion to Therapeutic Carer following relevant assessment.

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring to help the children with their emotional, physical and developmental needs.
- Display yourself as an appropriate role model.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, empathy and resilience.
- Encourage positive life experiences for the children.
- Requirements of the Residential Support Worker:
- Experience working in a residential setting or experience working with young people who demonstrate challenging behaviour (EBD).
- Ensuring to maintain the company values and regulations.
- Commitment to work sleep-in’s, weekends, and weekdays.
Basic Information About the Role.
- 40 hours per week for 52 weeks of the year.
- A mixture of Ealey’s shifts 7:30 am – 3:30 pm & Late Shifts 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm.
- Sleep Ins required as agreed with manager.

- Childcare Worker 2 (CW2) – Therapeutic Carer 2 (TC2)
- Waking Night Worker 1 (WNW1) Waking Night Therapeutic Carer 1 (WNTC2)
- Waking Night Worker 2 (WNW2) – Waking Night Therapeutic Carer 2 (WNTC2)
- Transition to Therapeutic Carer position and salary scale after successful completion of 6-month basic training;
- Special bank-holiday bonus of £75.06 gross per shift worked;
- Regular salary progression currently up to £25, 768.00 [£12.39 per hour];
- Full Orientation & Induction programme provided;

- Training package worth approximately £3,000.00-3,500.00.
