ORCHA are one of the UK’s fastest growing Digital Health organisations. We operate the world’s largest digital health assessment platform and library and have a suite of exciting products and services that are all geared towards getting more people using and benefiting from great health and care related Apps.
Digital healthcare holds the power to revolutionize how we treat patients. But this revolution comes with risk. Right now, there are over 350,000 health apps out there and only 20% meet safety standards. It’s an issue that needs action, and with action comes innovation.
This is where ORCHA comes in. ORCHA exists to make digital healthcare healthy.
Our industry-leading technology helps national bodies, healthcare providers, professionals on the frontline and digital innovators, develop, accredit and activate the best digital healthcare apps.
Putting the transformative power of digital healthcare into the hands of patients, safely.
It’s fair to say we are passionate about health apps. Digital health is rapidly emerging as the major new frontier in healthcare delivery globally and we are at the forefront of this fast moving and exhilarating environment.
What is a Research Associate?
ORCHA are proud of their research department, investing heavily in the creation, and dissemination of high-quality publications with considerable academic rigour, and the utmost impact. ORCHA have won a number of awards for research shared with the digital health community and our hope is to continue on this trajectory.
A typical day in the role of a Research Associate at ORCHA will involve working towards ORCHA’s growing research footprint in one of three specialist areas:
- The assessment of digital health technologies, including existing frameworks, comparisons, strengths and limitations (i.e. how do we know whether a DHT is any good?),
- Barriers and facilitators to using digital health (i.e. what is stopping people from using or recommending digital health and what may improve this?),
- Digital health benefits research (what impact does digital health have on tangible clinical, economic, operational, and system-level outcomes?)
Our researchers will become leading authorities in the field of digital health, and will enjoy numerous opportunities to share, defend and promote their research at various conferences and events around the world.
As a research associate you will report directly to the Director of Research and work closely on ensuring ORCHA achieves its ambitions for research excellence.
Ultimately, the role of the research department is to ensure that ORCHA can definitively demonstrate the value that the “right” DHTs can deliver, and support ORCHA in achieving this long-term goal.
