Job Title: Relationship Manager – Financial Institutions and Corporates
Location: Central London
Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 depending on experience

The Role:
Reporting directly to the Head of the Department, you will be responsible for executing the bank’s strategy with Financial Institutions and Corporates within the sphere of the bank’s operations.
The job holder will have execution responsibility for developing and maximizing market opportunities. The job holder will be responsible for generating a network of potential clients and developing new business as well as managing existing relationships that may be assigned.
There is a need to undertake market research and the role may often involve the presentation of marketing material in relation to a portfolio of the organization’s identified targeted client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a targeted marketing strategy and account plan that specifically addresses the needs of your focus customer segments
- Product development & innovation; seeking approvals for the process flow to cover each new product, a marketing strategy for the new products; the need for new products may be informed by the needs of prospects or existing customers
- Research and identify key prospects and agree a plan for winning their custom
- Maintain customer contact on a regular basis, ensuring that new opportunities are identified and information for risk monitoring purposes is regularly received
- Agree budgets, goals and action plans in accordance with the bank’s short term business strategies, and manage results through formal and informal reviews and monitoring
- Effective use of a range of communication media – including written reports, oral presentations, the intranet, etc. to disseminate timely and actionable market analysis tailored to the target audience
- Credit analysis and preparation of credit applications for Respondent banks and other corporates for Trade Finance and other such facilities
- Continuous monitoring of Respondent banks’ financial health which ensures the bank’s exposure to counterparties is always within acceptable risk limits
- Make local and international trips by visiting source markets on scheduled or impromptu basis as may be required by the business
- Other tasks as may be advised and agreed with the Head of the department
The Candidate:
- Degree-qualified, front-office banking professional, with at least five years’ correspondent and corporate banking experience and strong marketing, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Experience and Strong knowledge of correspondent banking products and services especially international trade and managing vostro accounts would be a clear advantage
- Excellent, proven client relationship skills. You must be able to network and be very strong at creating and developing business relationships
- Professional and innovative attitude; self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and succeed
- Strong credit skills and direct experience with analysing financial statements for financial institutions would be an advantage
- A key objective is the provision of excellent customer service. As such, you must be committed to outstanding customer service, and possess strong prioritization and organizational skills
- An understanding and knowledge of source markets to enhance service delivery and development of products will be a distinct advantage
