Night Shift – £10.50 p/hour

The Role
The health centre consists of members of staff working on a rota basis. The health centre is a well-equipped medical centre used by students of all ages. The health centre is housed in a building called Old Hall which is to the rear of the main College site.
The main purpose of this role is to assist in taking responsibility for the medical welfare of our students. On occasion the health centre is used by some staff on an emergency basis.
Any other existing employment commitments should be discussed at interview and permitted for in your contract of employment.
The post-holder is expected to be loyal to the stated aims, objectives and ethos of the College and may not engage in any outside activity which, in the reasonable view of the headmaster, might interfere with the efficient discharge of his or her duties or is in conflict with the interests of the College.
Day Shift, 8.00am to 8.00pm – £19.10 gross per hour
Night Shift, 8.00pm to 8.00am – £10.50 gross per hour
Responsibilities include
- Responsible for medical welfare of boarding and day students.
- Administer medication and other treatment in line with health centre Protocol.
- Give First Aid to any student/staff who has sustained an injury.
- Arrange transport and staff to accompany patient if A&E visit required.
- Keep full and accurate medical records of all treatment and attention given to each student in your care.
- Maintain good communication with boarding staff and other health centre Staff.
- Cleaning and stocking of the health centre Treatment Room and Staff Room etc.
- The post holder may be required to work outside of normal working hours on occasion with due notice, for which appropriate payment will be granted (by agreement).
Ideal candidate
- Registered Nurse or paramedic.
- Minimum 12 months experience post qualification.
- A valid pin number/registration
- Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
