What does a Registered Manager do at Hillingdon?
Delivering essential services for some of our most vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, the Registered manager leads a team responsible for providing a safe and secure environment within our Adults residential care home ,to ensure it is compliant and meets and delivers the standards set by the Care Quality Commission.
The Registered Manager creates the right conditions for all to thrive, increasing their ability to be independent, growing their skills to live stable lives and ensure health and wellbeing. The residents in our care range from those with severe learning, emotional or behavioural challenges to those with significant physical disabilities.
Collaborating with external agencies across the local authority and health services, the role balances various activities from recognising risk matches, completing impact assessments, and escalating concerns, to maintaining a collective response for every person.
With the autonomy to explore and implement continuous improvement initiatives, the role seeks to identify opportunities to increase our CQC rating, whilst fulfilling our statutory responsibilities in line with CQC regulations, auditing the service and undertaking necessary actions as required.
About you:
You’ll have experience as a Registered Manager within Adult Residential Care Home, with good understanding of supporting Learning Disabilities services, with the drive and commitment to make a difference for people in care. Due to the nature of the role, you’ll have a clear working knowledge of Care Quality home regulations and quality standards – ensuring the highest levels of care and support are provided.
You will need to be willing to become the registered Manager of the services with the Care Quality Commission and represent London Borough of Hillingdon.
