Job Title: Registered Architect or Architectural Technologist/Technician
Location: Kendal, Lake District
Salary: £28,000 – £38,000 depending on experience

The Company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Architect or Architectural Technologist/Technician to work on a variety of projects ranging in size and across various sectors including residential, healthcare and commercial.
The office is located in Kendal, in easy reach of both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, offering an unrivalled quality of life, particularly if you enjoy outdoor activities and are looking for the opportunity to live and work in a beautiful part of the country.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for their own projects as well as contributing to design and production information packages on larger projects. Current and prospective projects include a varied range of healthcare refurbishments and extensions, traditional and contemporary house extensions and new-build in and around the Lake District National Park, conversion of former school accommodation into private dwellings, and a range of commercial schemes.
The Practice is developing its BIM capabilities and would want the successful candidate to contribute to that process.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will ideally meet the following requirements:
- Good understanding of design and detailing
- Proficient in AutoCAD and ideally Revit
- Experience in job-running across all areas of a project life cycle
- Ability to liaise directly with a wide range of clients
- Have a working knowledge of the Building Regulations
- Experience of using National Building Specification (NBS)

The town has brilliant communication links, with the M6 being just 10 minutes away and the main west coast rail line is on the edge of town, which means Manchester is 1 hour away by road and London 2 hours 40 mins or Edinburgh and Glasgow 2 hours by train.
