About us:

Founded 100 years ago, Tecalemit Garage Equipment is a market leader in the supply, installation and service of vehicle workshop equipment to a wide range of both commercial and non-commercial customers.

We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Regional Manager to lead a team of engineers who undertake Installation, Calibration, Repair and Service work in the south west of England.

There will be a regular requirement to travel throughout the nominated geographical operating area and to periodically spend time at our Head Office in Plymouth as required.

Whilst experience is preferred from within the garage equipment industry, we welcome applications from people with relevant transferable knowledge and skills.

The successful applicant will have the ability to;

  • Deal with our Clients face to face, on the telephone and via ‘digital’ means to ensure they are receiving the best possible user experience.
  • Lead and motivate a team of engineers to provide excellent customer service levels throughout a nominated geographical area.
  • Liaise with the in-house technical department to facilitate appropriate training for their team to ensure a full-service capability covering our complete equipment range.
  • Interact with and assist the Service Control Office to maximise productivity and service levels.
  • Balance cost implications with required service levels ensuring legislative calibration time scales are met for MOT equipment.
  • Objectively assess priorities where there may be competing demands.
  • Manage their own diary and time without close supervision.
  • Promote a positive message to their team whilst ensuring adherence to the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the training of engineers in new and current procedures, including “toolbox talks” and stock control.
  • Help the HR department recruit suitable staff for their team when the need arises.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant managerial background, with a service “provider”, ideally within the garage equipment industry.
  • T. Skills to include a basic knowledge of Microsoft programmes as a minimum.
  • Recognized and relevant academic qualification (desirable).
  • A “can-do” logical approach.
  • Calm and diplomatic.
  • Good communicator with both staff and customers.
  • Valid driving licence.
