Envar is a producer and supplier of high-quality soil improver, woodland garden mulch, wood chip and biomass. We operate green waste composting sites across England with sites in Surrey, Northamptonshire and West London as well as our flagship site in Cambridgeshire where we also process food waste. In addition to composting Envar also recycle coffee grounds.
About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Operation Manager with Envar Composting.
Your role is to be a key part of the Operations team, working together with the Operations Director, processing our input materials across our composting sites, travel to these sites would be necessary.
You will be involved in all the day to day operations on the composting sites and working closely with the Site Operation Managers and Commercial team on the inputs and outputs.
Academic or professional qualifications that would be important to the performance of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold Health and Safety and Environmental compliance across the site and third party suppliers
- Arranging operations to ensure that production is achieved at the desired level
- Ability to ensure that sufficient space is available to receive incoming material
- Managing stock levels
- Ensure that plant and machinery is fit for purpose and compliant with all legalisations
- Produce CAPEX plans to ensure that plant and machinery is replaced in a timely manner
- Liaise with current customers, maintaining dialogue throughout contracts, ensure reporting and any social value requirements are maintained as per contractual terms
- Helping to acquire new feedstocks and contract tendering
- Review reports to determine profitability and areas of improvement
- Site visits and tours
- Working as part of a team to achieve best outcomes
- Working to a set of KPI’s and keeping within budget
- Seek out and assess new opportunities and innovation to further enhance the Envar Business
- Aid in the marketing function within the business, ensuring alignment with other group companies
- Maintain a positive outlook and attitude about the organisation and its goals
About you:
- Good written and verbal communication skills in order to work with, provide advice to, train, and promote excellence operational efficiencies
- The ability to organise and prioritise workload
- A flexible approach to working hours
- Knowledge of machinery operations
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.
- Strong ability to assess time it takes to perform a task
- COTC and IOSH
