About the role:
We are looking for a practical minded and very organised individual who might be currently working as a HR administrator or recruiter. This role is new to the company and demonstrates the desire to become a local ’employer of choice’.
The successful candidate will oversee the entire onboarding processes in a multicultural food processing business based in Preston, with circa 300 employees. Working closely with the production teams and payroll you will oversee all recruitment, onboarding and induction processes from advertising to probationary sign off.
You will need experience of working in a fast-paced environment, able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. You will also have an approachable manner and the ability to multitask and deal with a range of incoming enquires.

Key duties:
- Build a strong network of candidates to fill our colleague vacancies quickly, effectively and within agreed targets and budget
- Regularly update recruitment adverts on a variety of different websites including Indeed, LinkedIn and our website, ensuring that adverts do not expire and contain accurate information
- Coordinate the recruitment process, ensuring candidates are kept up to date with any progress, booked for interview quickly and fed back to swiftly, to provide a fantastic candidate experience at all times
- Screen CVs and arrange and conduct first stage interviews, providing feedback to hiring managers to allow them to make informed recruitment decisions
- Be aware of GDPR legislation and comply with all data protection requirements in relation to applicant and new starters data
- Conduct right to work checks with all new starters and ensure onboarding documentation is complete
- Deliver induction training to new starters and arrange site tours and new start equipment, such as security fobs, PPE etc.
- Conduct daily site walks and touch base with recent joiners to ensure they are settling in and enjoying their new role
Key Requirements:
- Relevant work experience gained in a fast paced or manufacturing environment
- General knowledge and insight into the HR function, including right to work admin, interviewing and induction training
- A general understanding of UK labour laws related to recruitment
- Proficient in all MS Office packages
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to form and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and third parties
- Self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude
- It is desirable but not essential for candidates to speak Romanian
