We are currently recruiting for various Ramp Operative roles to join our established team at our Stansted base.
The Role:
The role will be to work as part of an effective ramp team that is responsible for providing fuelling and ramp services to Harrods Aviation’s Customers, covering a 24-hour operation.
The role involves tug driving i.e. pushback, towing and all aspects of manoeuvring.
The position will involve baggage handling, airside driving, general assistance for Operations and providing toilet and water service, and de-icing services in the winter season.
The Hours:
The Stansted base operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year – as a result, the successful applicant must be flexible and professional.
You will be required to work as part of a team covering a 24-hour operation, which will include working days, lates, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
The Company operates various shift patterns.
The Successful Candidate:
- Previous ramp handling experience is advantageous.
- Applicants should have an organised, adaptable and flexible approach with strong interpersonal skills and a diplomatic approach.You will be enthusiastic, willing to learn and maintain a professional appearance and manner even in sometimes difficult circumstances.
- The ability to prioritise in an ever-changing environment, remain calm and adapt under pressure are essential for the role. Excellent communication skills combined with courtesy and integrity are also important.
- Good administration skills and computer literacy are essential.
- A full UK driving license is essential, as is holding the right to live and work in the UK.
- You will also need to have a 5-year checkable history in order to obtain an airport ID pass.
