We have the ability to deliver a wide range of integrated and sustainable solutions for our clients who include Network Rail, HS1, train operating companies and multi-national contractors within the rail industry.
About the role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor based in Verney Junction, Buckinghamshire to join our Midlands Commercial Team. As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for cost planning and commercial management throughout the entire life cycle of the project from inception to post-completion.
Role Responsibilities:
- Preparation of interim and final accounts.
- Manage day to day commercial and contract activities.
- Sub-contract procurement ensuring maximum value for money.
- Sub-contract valuations and final accounts.
- Working knowledge of NEC 3 and JCT Conditions of Contract.
- Preparation of Compensation Events/variations (depending on form of contract).
- Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers and site staff.
- Contractual correspondence.
- Commercial reporting.
- Procurement of professional services for design etc.
- Ability to undertake site measures when required.
- Explore the contract for opportunities and entitlements.
- Work closely with site management teams to ensure contract objectives and margins are met.
- Be able to work clearly and accurately under pressure and tight timescales.
- Be able to think logically and laterally.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.

- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role
