Job Title: Quality Operator

Job type: Full time – 40 Hours – Standard hours of work are on a rotating shift pattern of 6-2 & 2-10 Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (40 hours per week). Please indicate on your application if you wish to work different hours.
Main Purpose of the Role:
- Ensure that all product testing and sample batch release inspection is completed to the highest standards at all times.
- Provide first line support and a rapid response to production-based quality issues through the non-conformance process.
- Follow Company procedures and policies in regard to adherence to the Quality Standards, efficiencies and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
- Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure that paperwork trails are retained to the maximum standards.
- Maintain and develop strong level of communication with other departments within the organisation.

- GCSE or Equivalent Level Education,
- Desirable -BTec first certificate or equivalent, NVQ level 2 qualification
- Commitment to always work towards professional manner.
- Previous manufacturing experience would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Adhere to all documented Company Quality System Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures when carrying out duties.
- Handle non-conformances that are related to final product quality.
- Report on quality measurement indices
- Approve finished product at final batch release stage.
- Carry out internal testing in line with departmental instructions.
- Ensure the activities of the QC environment meet with and integrate with the organisational requirement for Quality Management Systems, Health & Safety. Regulations, Legal Stipulations, Regulations, Environmental Policies, Objectives and General Duty of Care.
- Ensure that the QMS policies and procedures are carried out in line with the Quality Plan
- Adhere to the production monitoring guidelines.
- Adhere to all customer specific requirements as per the departmental matrix.
Occasional responsibilities:
- To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that is within your skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
- Following the controlled documentation procedure, as set out in the Quality policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the calibration procedure is completed as per the departmental processes and procedures.
- Carrying out additional general administrative tasks as required.
