Job Title: Quality Manager

We work with some World-famous brands, the majority of which are in the Motorsport industry however, we also supply products into the Aerospace, MOD and Marine industries so as you can imagine quality is of the utmost importance. We have a specially kitted out workshop, one that you would be proud to work in which is located conveniently just on the outskirts of Milton Keynes centre. We are recruiting for lots of new team members due to huge growth within our order books.
Job Purpose:
To ensure the business always remains compliant with accreditations and legislation required, and management of our customer complaints process, seeing complaints through to resolution.
The Job
As Quality Systems Manager, you will be responsible for our customer complaints process and ensuring we remain compliant with various accreditations and legislation for our products. You will be required to investigate root cause of process issues and complete 8D and PPAP reports for customers
Main Duties:
- Effectively manage the Internal NCR Supervisor, ensuring all NCRs are thoroughly investigated and wherever possible, root cause is reached.
- Ensure corrective and preventative action for NCRs is suitable and carried out effectively.
- Timely escalation of any customer feedback emails including replying to the customer with any updates.
- Investigations into customer feedback emails and escalation to relevant parties assigning actions wherever possible.
- Ensure the business always remains compliant with ISO9001 QMS, working closely with the Head of Business Management Systems & Logistics.
- Use environmentally sustainable practices in accordance with our environmental policy
- Seek ways to reduce waste and energy usage in accordance with our environmental objectives.
The Person and Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Qualification in an engineering discipline (e.g. HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQ)
Experience
- 3 years of quality control experience within a manufacturing environment, within a similar industry.
- Experience with ISO9001 QMS.
- Experience with basic and electronic metrology equipment.
- Personnel management experience.
- Experience of BS EN9102 reporting is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Awareness of relevant TS/VDA standards is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of relevant FIA regulations & standards is desirable but not essential.
