Job Title: Quality Inspector / Quality Assistant

Salary: Up to £13.08 per hour
Job type: Full Time, 37 hours per week.

A Quality Assistant at Schunk UK will work closely with the Quality & Innovation Manager (QIM). You shall provide support in the quality, environmental and health and safety at Schunk UK. You will conduct daily patrol and final inspection in the different production cells reporting any issues directly to the QIM.

- Main customers are Aerospace, Chemical and Process Industries, Industrial and Electrical Application Industries
Main Tasks:
- Work with the QIM and ensure that the policy outlined in the quality & environmental manual under ISO9001 / 14001 and the operational details are practised effectively
- Conduct patrol inspections in the different production units
- Conduct Final inspection in the different production units
- Conduct internal calibration of equipment
- Participate in quality system auditing internally
Skills:
- Working closely with the production teams, QIM and Managers in general.
- Professional handling of customer documentation
- Useful technical knowledge in mechanical engineering
- Experience with manual internal and external measuring equipment
- Knowledge of surface testing
- Good software skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP
- Co-ordinate measuring machine knowledge and capability.
