Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: £15 per hour
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 36 hrs per week & overtime. Basic hours Mon-Thurs 7.30 – 4.00pm, Fri 7.30 – 11.30am
Holidays: 30 days inc stats, increasing with service to 33 days

About the role:
Due to our continued growth Oilgear Leeds is currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join our expanding business and be part of a dynamic and growing team, supporting the company as the business moves into new market areas, whilst also supporting the existing customer base.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about what they do, has an keen eye for detail and understands the importance of providing quality products and service to our customers. As a Quality Inspector you will also be liaising and visiting our suppliers and work with the procurement and assembly teams.

Whilst working on site here in Leeds there is free car parking. The site is conveniently situated approximately 1 mile from the centre with easy transport links to both the city centre and the motorway.
Main duties will include:
- Inspection of components to ensure compliance before storing away
- Maintaining calibration of measuring equipment, ensuring all are up to date and records maintained
- Questioning the nature of the defects while providing future solutions
- Inspecting materials to ensure consistency and integrity against FAI reports
- Documenting quality issues, ensuring NCR system is maintained
- Liaising with internal depts and suppliers
- Visiting suppliers as required to inspect prior to despatch
- Creating procedure checklists & improve processes
- Final Inspection / Product release
- Complete & maintain all paperwork
- Completing supplier quality audit to comply with ISO
- Conforming to company health and safety procedures and policies
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices
About you:
Technical / Job Specific:
- Ability to analyse quality and performance of products
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Experience of dimensional analysis, mechanical inspections
- Experience of using micrometres, gauges, vernier callipers, comparators and air gauging
