Currock Engineering Co Ltd are looking to recruit a Skilled Quality Inspector, for a growing Defence and Aerospace Precision Engineering Company. The company has scheduled orders out to 2025 and beyond. This is an exciting and demanding role which requires excellent communication skill.
Reason for Role:
The position has become available due to the retirement of a valued member of the team who has helped shape the inspection department and provide CMM programs over the last 11 years.
This position has potential scope for progression should the candidate have the skill set and wish to become a team leader at a later date.
Job Specification:
The role primarily involves liaising with skilled machinists on the shop floor, Production Engineering, Production Manager and key staff to assist in managing a busy inspection department and engineering workshop.
You will develop long-term relationships, discuss technical content and manage the work load as required.
Essential Requirements:
- CMM experience required ideally using MCOSMOS but PCDMIS will be considered
- Complex CMM programming experience
- Manual measuring experience required
- Visual inspection
- Problem solving
- Decision making
- Metrology support to Quality department
- Lead by example
- Able to manage changing demands while meeting customer requirements
- Good communication skills at all levels
Desirable Requirements:
- A.I.R knowledge and reporting
