Job Title: QHSE Coordinator

They’re a UK-based company with subsidiary operations in the USA, France, Germany and China. The Company supplies materials which are used for research, development and specialised manufacturing applications.
The Role
The successful applicant will work within the QHSE team and report directly to the Group QHSE Manager to assist with the ongoing maintenance and compliance of the management systems.
The maintenance of the company’s management systems is vital to its success. You will be on the front line, ensuring that the proactive monitoring activities are carried out to schedule and all issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner. The importance of good communication in this role cannot be understated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the control, monitoring and implementation of QHSE group standards
- Control, update, review and issue QHSE documents
- Report on and analyse customer complaints and supplier non-conformances
- Ensure non-conformances, accidents, and near-misses are investigated, and effective corrective actions identified and implemented
- Schedule and carry out QHSE risk assessments and internal audits
- Control and maintain the COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) register
- Arrange and deliver internal training across the site
- Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information
- Attend quarterly Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Committee meetings
- Produce and implement QHSE procedures and policies where required
- Provide statistical information to be displayed on company notice boards
- Involvement in improvement projects to ensure objectives are met
- Review Key Performance Indicators with the Group QHSE Manager
- Communicate QHSE information to internal or external stakeholders as required
- Any other relevant function as required by the Global QHSE Manager
Key Requirements:
- NEBOSH General certificate
- Experience of working with management systems and carrying out internal audits
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Self-motivating
- A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to work with others and develop good working relationships
- Knowledge of ISO9001 (Quality), ISO45001 (H&S), and ISO14001 (Environment) standards desirable but not essential as full training will be given
Hours:
This is a full time post of 37.5 hours per week worked at agreed times between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, although the company does operate a flexitime system.
