Job Title: Quality Engineer / CMM Inspector

The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our Quality team here at LTi Metaltech. Reporting directly into the Quality Manager, this role has a strong focus, at least initially, on CMM Inspection, alongside broader QE responsibilities in the long term.
As the Quality Engineer, your duties will include:
- Inspection – using FARO Arm and PolyWorks, as well as mechanical tools such micrometres, height gauges and slip gauges
- Creating inspection reports
- Conducting internal and external audits
- Liaising with customers and suppliers to troubleshoot problems
- Monitoring, investigating and supporting the resolution of Customer, Supplier and internal non conformances
- Controlling the calibration of measuring equipment

The Candidate:
To be a successful Quality Engineer/CMM Inspector, you will have extensive experience in a similar role and must be able to use a FARO Arm or similar in order to be considered. This position would suit either a Quality Engineer who is confident with measuring and inspection, or a Quality Inspector who enjoys the broader remit of QE responsibilities. Having worked in a regulated environment previously, you must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
Whether you have completed an apprenticeship, HNC or degree, knowledge of engineering and manufacturing is essential.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, you must have a logical and methodical approach to tasks with strong attention to detail. An excellent communicator, you will have a proactive approach and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Please note, due to the nature of work, there is a requirement for this person to be office based. We have an excellent flexible working scheme here at LTi Metaltech however do require the successful candidate to have some flexibility to occasionally work later to provide cover to both our early and late shifts. This is required for the entire Quality team. If a candidate is looking to solely work later hours, this can also be considered.
