Job Title: Quality Engineer

Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 Per Annum (Paid Monthly)

Working Hours: 38 Hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 and Friday 07:30 to 12:50
About the Role:
An opportunity currently exists for a Quality Engineer to join our team of three working to strengthen quality in our manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Quality Lead you will be championing our quality control agenda.
You will drive. lead, investigate and identify root causes of non-conformance. Suggesting and implementing the drive for continuous improvements and preventative measures.
Based out of Bolton Site you will have on occasions, the requirement to visit both internal and external sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Quality Inspections across a variety of products both internally and externally
- Improve the quality service by evaluating systems and devising new processes as appropriate
- Advising and reporting Non-conformances and suggest improvements
- Implementation and ownership of all quality related Activities
- Ensure FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests), Final Quality Check documentation is logged and updated
About you:
Ideally you will have previous experience within a Mechanical or quality assurance setting, some electrical engineering experience. A good working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with a strong understanding of ISO9001 and IS4001 standards.
Some ATEX (Atmosphere Explosible) knowledge /understanding would be desirable, however it is not essential.
You will have experience in dealing with Domestic and International Supplier’s distribution, be analytical thinking with good attention to detail.
