Job Title: Stock Prep & Quality Assurance Supervisor
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £25,000 per annum + BONUS
Job type: Permanent, Full time
Hours: Min 40 hrs per week – Monday to Friday, additional hrs needed in busy/ seasonal time including Sat mornings as required
The Company is a friendly family business that sources and imports quality Crystals, Minerals and Fossils. The products are sized, selected and packaged at our premises before being distributed to retail buyers around the globe. We are passionate about our products, our quality and providing an efficient and professional service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with supervisory experience and an eye for detail as you will be responsible for sizing & grading our products. This is a varied ‘hands on’ role and requires someone with enthusiasm and drive with a ‘can do’ approach.
Main duties will include:
- Liaise and attend daily briefings with the management team
- Prioritise orders and allocation of work
- Hold briefings for picking and stock prep team and distribute work
- Oversee team’s general day to day working
- Sizing & grading of products, base weights & enter into electronic costings excel data sheets
- Scan order documents, using a hand-held terminal.
- Liaise with other departments
- Continually review, monitor and improve Health & Safety processes
The Candidate
Person Specification:
- Supervisory / Team leader experience
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Good IT skills including Excel & Microsoft Office
- Knowledge or experience of SAP Business 1 or similar
Core Skills:
- Excellent organisational & problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen eye for detail
