Job Title: Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: £20,950 per annum

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Job Role:

To conduct sampling and testing procedures as instructed by the Laboratory Manager, Technical Manager or Assistant Technical Manager and in line with Company policy and procedure.

The role will require the Laboratory/QA Technician to spend most of their time at the Orme Street site. However, business meetings, off site training and other visits will form part of the role.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Sampling of materials and products at various stages of the production process.
  • Routine physical testing and measurements following standard test procedures, comparing the results obtained to documented limits.
  • Measurements of product weights and dimensions in clay, biscuit and glost on NPI and routine production.
  • Reporting of test results to the relevant manager, following documented procedures when results are outside limits.
  • Maintenance of the Q209a Item Specification Database.
  • Conduct calibration checks on equipment included in the calibration system; maintain calibration database.
  • Production of standard pieces, traceable to the Q209a Item Specification database.
  • Set up and conduct yield improvement trials in clay, biscuit and glost; issue reports and facilitate remedial actions.
  • Testing and appraisal of third-party products.
  • Preparation of plate cover information and reports.
  • General housekeeping to ensure that the work area is kept safe, clean and tidy.
  • Other QA / Lab duties as requested.
  • To carry out all duties within the scope of the Company mission and values and to support and encourage practices to meet this end.
