The Candidate:
Experience is necessary in one core discipline (Quality or Export compliance) and we are seeking an individual who is a quick learner with a strong desire to add to their existing core skill set. Primary skills and experience should include:
- An understanding of the importance of compliance in the aerospace / military industry would be an advantage
- Experience in implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards and compliance within an organisation
- Strong PC, written and communications skills essential
- Process driven, logical thinking
- Attention to detail is essential
- A strong team-worker, willing to multi-task and get stuck in
The role would suit an ambitious individual willing to work including some multi-tasking within the existing established team in a small but developing business and a possible opportunity to assume similar responsibilities at group level. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Customer and supplier liaison for compliance
- Ensure effective maintenance and implication of Quality Management System (QMS)
- Support supplier and customer complaints
- Review customer quality requirements and ensure flow down through internal management team
- Monitor customer and supplier quality performance indicators
- Support customer and certification activity and audits
- Cary out export review on all products destined for overseas destinations
- Support / shadow goods inspection and logistics activities when needed
- Ensure we meet our customer expectations with regards to export compliance
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all import / export customs, procedures, tariff classifications, duty rates and any other documentation requirements
- Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures that we would need to adhere to
- Processing Import/Export customs clearance declarations
- All other duties related to the processing of freight / shipments through customs, preparing documentation
- Compliance with relevant national regulations when exporting goods under licence and the importance of the keeping of records
