Job Title: Quality and Compliance Manager

Location: Didcot Quarter (near Milton Park), Abingdon

Salary: £45,000 FTE per annum, plus bonus

Job Type: Full Time (40 hours per week) or Part Time (minimum 25hrs per week +), Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a career minded Quality and Compliance Manager to assist our Head of Compliance in key areas within the organisation including Quality, Commercial, Environmental, Health and Safety,

The role offers significant scope for the development of a wide range of experience and competencies relating to working in a high performing logistics and installation business compliant with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, as part of a quality and service focussed management team.

We are a small team running a very successful and unique business, part of a worldwide Group but very much focussed on the UK market from our purpose-built logistics centre and Headquarters near Didcot.

If you have experience of managing integrated quality management systems along with a background in EHSQ we would like to meet you. This is a role with opportunities to progress and to gain qualifications and experience to achieve a senior position within our team.

If you are well organised and proactive with strong communication skills and high attention to detail, happy to work hands on as well as to administrate we would like to meet you.

Key Duties Include:

  • Undertake the management and sustainment of the regulatory and customer audit programme for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Oversee and audit the environmental monitoring required for ISO 14001 compliance
  • Manage the electronic and paper records within the Quality Management system. Oversee the calibration, services, and repairs of company equipment to be carried out in line with SLAs and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and audit the maintenance and updating of the Operational Database containing records of services and repairs
  • Provide well organised documentation to evidence regulatory and QMS compliance.
  • Create and edit Work Instructions and internal documents
  • Manage the completion of weekly and monthly checks of key equipment in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Qualify for and carry out the roles of First Aider and Fire Warden
  • Coordinate Fire Warden meetings and assist with fire drills, fire tests and ongoing training of the team responsible for emergency evacuations and procedures!
  • Present the Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and Security inductions for new colleagues
  • Log Incident and Accidents and Near Miss reports supporting investigation and reporting to senior team with recommendations for future preventative actions
  • Assist the H.O.C. with organising and preparing for the Senior Management Review Meetings and the Health and Safety Management meetings
  • Managing key suppliers from selection to benchmarking and performance review. Produce the supplier ratings and report to senior team with recommendations

Key Requirements:

  • Experience of managing quality or compliance processes
  • Strong understanding of HSE regulatory requirements preferably gained in a logistics or manufacturing environment
  • Proactive and well organised with strong administrative competencies
  • Experience of auditing internal processes against ISO standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams and confident to learn new software as required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to plan and prioritise tasks and projects and flexible when short notice changes are needed
  • Strong communicator with good command of the English language
