The role:
We are currently seeking a Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) Manager to support the QEHS function in the management of day-to-day QEHS activities, including driving audits / assessments of risk and QEHS standards, provide competent advice, support accident / incident investigations and driving cultural improvement across its operational jurisdictions.
Reporting to the QEHS Director, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to take next step on the health and safety ladder. There is lots of scope for individuality, change and achievement with lots of thinking outside of the box when presented with numerous challenges. This will be a very busy but extremely rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ensuring all sites are proactively complying with QEHS standards, monitor on-site performance set against KPI’s
- Managing data and reports
- Supporting with ISO audits and external auditing from accreditation bodies
- Leading and managing the internal auditing schedule
- Managing personalised risk assessments
- Supporting the on-going review of risk assessment and method statement in line with legislation, business change and incident metrics
- Being the custodian of the QEHS core document suite, ensuring management has up to date copies of certificates and memberships
- Attending and minuting QEHS meetings across all sites
The candidate:
Essential:
- You must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Avonmouth.
- You must have a minimum of 3 years’ proven QEHS experience within the construction or plant hire sector
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent
- Good standard of education
- Full driving licence
- Self-motivator with the ability to work under pressure whilst remaining positive at all times
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with proactive approach to problem solving
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook
- High attention to detail
Desirable:
- ISO Audit experience
- Professional training qualification
- Environmental qualification

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm (40 hours per week). This role is based at our Head Office in Avonmouth with regular travel to other Company and client sites. Occasional home working may be permitted.
