An exciting opportunity has arisen in Housing Services for a resilient and resourceful Project Support Officer to assist the Project Manager in the implementation of an Integrated ICT Housing Management System at Redditch Borough Council.
We are specifically looking for an individual who has experience in Housing Services or Repairs and Maintenance of a housing stock.
About the role:
To assist the Project Manager with the procurement and implementation of an integrated housing management ICT system for the landlord and strategic housing functions by March 2021. This will result in a significant change in the way housing services are delivered to customers, with a new digital offer and improved customer experience underpinned by streamlined business processes and mobile working arrangements.
Key duties:
Assisting the Project management of a series of complex projects concurrently
- Project planning Procurement
- Engagement and communication with stakeholders
- Organise staff and resources
- Documentation and reports
- Managing project budgets
Carry out business analysis either as part of a project or as standalone work
- Specification gathering
- Process mapping
- Process re-engineering Analysis of service performance and usage
- Identifying key issues in contracts
Develop and manage relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Facilitate workshops
- Handle sensitive information appropriately
- Understanding and use of stakeholder analysis
- Negotiate successful outcomes
About you:
- An understanding of the social housing business framework overall and business process mapping
- Experience (minimum 3 years) of specific aspects of the operation of the housing service and knowledge of the legislation and regulations affecting social landlords
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the development of process and procedural guides
- Experience in reconciling and controlling the output from systems, identifying errors and resolving faults
- Proven ability in assisting with projects to agreed standards and within timescale and budget
