Job Title: Project Quantity Surveyor

This is a unique opportunity to join a prestigious award winning, property development company based in Nottingham on a permanent basis. You will be a key player within a well-established team of industry experts.
Fast growing property development company with in-house Architectural & Construction departments that prides itself on delivering high quality design solutions primarily for the first time buyer and family home residential sectors, based in the centre of Nottingham. Growing by 50% per annum, this is an exciting time to join the company, with several large developments due to start over the next 6 months.
Job Duties:
- Analysis of drawings and specifications and preparation of enquiry documentation for issuance to sub-contractors for pricing
- Analysis of tender prices received to confirm best value and co-ordination of any queries received with internal design/construction teams where necessary
- Co-ordination of sub-contractor pre- let/start meetings with preferred sub-contractors and site teams
- Preparation of sub-contractor order documentation and negotiation of terms where required
- Management and control of sub-contract accounts including variations, payments, final accounts and the like
- Preparation, submission and agreement of external valuations with Client representatives
- Completion of monthly CVR and cashflow reporting for submission to the management team
Key Requirements:
- A Construction degree or related discipline (HNC or HND) preferred with the relevant experience within a similar position of ideally 1 – 2 years main/sub-contracting. They would consider applications from Assistant QS’s with significant experience ready to progress to taking responsibility for running their own projects
- Experience of working on new build housing projects would be advantageous but not essential
- IT literate
- Must be able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
- While the majority of projects are located in the Nottinghamshire area there may be requirements to travel other sites in Wales so a driving licence is essential
