Job Title: Project Manager – Events and Exhibitions
Location: Sittingbourne
Salary: £35-40K per year
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time.
Working Hours: This is an office-based office role, core hours of 40 per week, with additional hours required; often involving weekends and evenings; are essential to the needs of the business. Frequent travel away from home throughout the UK and Europe will be required in order to manage and handover projects.
The Company:
At ESM we manage the design and build of exhibition spaces to create an engaging and memorable stand for our clients and their brands. All work is undertaken in house at our Kent headquarters by our experienced team who have been working on exhibition stands and trade fairs for a number of years, bringing both expertise and the latest trends to every project.
We produce some genuinely beautiful work from our fully equipped factory and offices in Sittingbourne; working on some fantastic projects for a number of agencies, but also a large volume of work for exhibitors looking to stand out at their events predominantly in the UK.

The Position:
ESM are seeking a Project manager to join our growing team. You will be tasked with the full project and budget management of our work from the point of tender win through to onsite completion. Tasks will include:
- Client liaison and relationships.
- Briefing the design team and tendering
- Management of overall specifications and finishes
- Health and Safety oversight and admin
- Liaison with sub-contractors and maintenance of the ESM supply chain
- Ordering and administration of sub-contracted technical services
- Sourcing and concept development
- Logistics, timings and deadline management
- Project Management onsite including staff management
- Client handovers
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a people person with superb organisational skills who is adept at problem solving and thinking on their feet. You will set the highest of personal standards and demand those of your projects whilst managing with a view to maximising profitability and value. Experience of events and exhibitions, or managing production teams would be a distinct advantage.
You will enjoy the ‘nuts and bolts’ of a project and basic administration as much as the travel and meetings that might be expected. You will seek to build strong relationships with your clients from a company perspective, demonstrate value, and look to generate repeat business and recommendations through your work whilst taking every opportunity to network both onsite and when working with suppliers.
