The Role:
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to work within our expanding Major Projects Portfolio.
The successful candidate will provide leadership for all construction phase activities, planning, managing, and evaluating projects throughout their life cycle. In addition, you will be required to work collaboratively with Site Agents and Supervisors to deliver construction best practice whilst maintaining a safety-first culture.
The Person:
We are looking for an individual who can manage projects from conception through to completion who ideally has previous experience delivering similar Major Construction Infrastructure Projects. We need someone who can lead and manage major projects, ensuring they are fully resourced and delivered safely, on time and within budget to high quality client specifications.
You will be a proactive, creative and logical individual with a solutions focused outlook. Experience of working with SPEN as a client and knowledge of NEC contracts would be a distinct advantage.
High Level Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate and attainable programs of work to be issued to the client for approval.
- Plan, manage and evaluate projects throughout their lifecycle.
- Act as the principal site contact point for Excalon clients
- Ensure that all activities on site are in accordance with statutory requirements
- Assemble your key team resources to deliver the project(s) and manage and motivate this group to achieve the required results.
- Identify the dependencies between project activities, and define the stages to ensure seamless delivery
- Regularly monitor progress at a frequency which enables action to be taken to troubleshoot issues and push the project back on track: Measure revenue, productivity and quality.
- Ensure the safe systems of work and all necessary documentation is in place.
- Ensure that all project personnel have the appropriate training and competencies
Ideal Skills and Qualifications:
- Existing Experience as a Project Manager for Infrastructure Projects
- CSCS – Academically Qualified or Gold Card
- SMSTS
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Temporary Works Supervisor
- NRSWA: Streetworks Supervisor
- Confined Spaces
- Deep Excavation / Temporary Works Supervisor
- Emergency First Aid
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite
