Retrofit West CIC is a new community interest company formed by the Centre for Sustainable Energy to accelerate home and building retrofit activity. The West of England Combined Authority has commissioned Retrofit West CIC to deliver a retrofit accelerator homeowner advice service across the region.
Retrofit West will establish a one-stop-shop advisory service for homeowners carrying out ‘whole house’ retrofitting activities on their homes. The service will encourage and support homeowners through the entire process, from initial thoughts about retrofit works, through planning interventions and on to the completion of installations.
The Role
The main focus of this role will be to oversee and manage the retrofit project from The West of England Combined Authority to ensure that the key milestones are achieved, KPIs are on or above target, reporting is completed accurately and on time and effective financial controls are in place.
This post is based at the Retrofit West office in Bristol, with some home working. Travel to meet stakeholders at their offices, events and conferences will be required.
Responsibilities include
- To manage and coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the retrofit project, including responsibility for ongoing development, service improvement, budgeting, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
- To drive work forward to enable successful project delivery, including any contractual targets and service levels specified.
- To maintain effective financial controls of the retrofit project and provide the Managing Director with up-to-date projections of spend and expenditure.
- To liaise with, and report to project partners and funders on a timely basis.
- To support the MD in managing and developing key strategic relationships with funders.
- To develop partnerships and liaise with a range of stakeholders, potentially including other advice agencies, local authorities, voluntary sector associations, housing associations and installers.
Ideal Candidate
- Two or more years’ experience of project delivery, including planning, team management, task allocation, budgeting and reporting.
- Experience of outcomes-based project monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience of managing projects that offer services to households or deliver advice to householders
- Good negotiation skills with ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
- Data analysis skills to identify trends and opportunities and communicate this with the team.
- Skilled use of presentation software.
- Skilled at data and analytical reporting.
