Job Title: Construction Contracts Manager

Location: Based in Sutton, Surrey and operate in South West London

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

The Position:

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager required to work on project and construction management. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with extensive experience within a building construction company.

You will be a professional PM with over 5 years experience within a similar role, dealing with budgets, management, problem solving and excellent communication skills & customer care. You will be a multi-tasker, a highly organized planner that works well under pressure.

Duties

  • Managing several projects from start to finish including, full refurbs, loft conversions, home extensions and other building works
  • Preparing Gantt charts/program of works before a project starts, issuing these to the customer and workforce
  • Ensuring the workforce adheres to the timelines and schedule
  • Attending pre-start meetings with Site Manager and customer
  • Agree any prices with customer for additional works and ensure signed copy is back before the works proceed
  • Arrange an extra price with the workforce and ensure this is also agreed before works carried out
  • Regular quality control checks
  • Arranging building inspector visits
  • Health and Safety
  • Requesting and arranging labour and materials as required
  • Ensuring signage on site
  • Dealing with client or workforce issues
  • Confirming stages ready to invoice
  • Ensuring the jobs stays within budget
  • Seeing job through to completion to run as smoothly as possible, as timely as possible with the highest profit margin

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager working for a building contractors
  • SMSTS
  • Experienced with loft conversions
  • Experienced with home extensions
  • Can price building works
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to cope well under pressure
  • A problem solver
  • Ability to create a maintain fantastic working relationships with both the customer and the workforce
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Has a full, clean UK drivers license

Candidates with experience or relevant job titles of; Project Management, Project Administrator, Project Estimator, Project Planning, Project Coordinator, Project Director, Project Manager, Project Lead, Lead Project Manager, Construction Project Manager will all be considered.
