The Role:
We are looking for a Project Engineer to join an existing civil engineering team at Rolton Group, which provides highway and drainage infrastructure support for projects primarily within the commercial, industrial, retail, education and residential sectors.
Key Requirements:
- Responsible, under the leadership of an Associate Director, for the internal day-to-day management of small to medium scale projects and the engineering solutions for numerous schemes for clients across these sectors.
- Have the ability to operate as part of a wider project team and to represent the company with confidence to a variety of clients and outside organisations is required for the role.
- The candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative and to coordinate their work with others, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
- The candidate will have demonstrable technical ability and design experience on matters of estate infrastructure, roads and drainage design and detail
- Experience with design and detail of schemes requiring technical approval of S38, S278 and S104 applications, flood risk assessments and drainage strategies, whilst not essential, will be advantageous to a candidate.
- Good communication, report writing skills and a thorough working capability with AutoCAD and MicroDrainage are essential
- Familiarity with design software such as PDS and Civil 3D is desirable and development of skills in these will be provided, if not already held.
The Candidate:
- A minimum of 3-5 years relevant post-graduate experience within a similar industry
- Ambition to pursue their Chartered Engineer status with either the Institution of Civil Engineers or the Institution of Structural Engineers.
- In this respect, an internal mentoring and fully-funded training programme aimed at supporting the individual’s progression to Chartered Engineer status, will be provided.
- Self-motivated person with the drive and ambition to improve their knowledge, skills, experience
