Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Salary: Up to £20,500 depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, full time
The Role:
An exciting opportunity to join the BPC Energy manufacturing team.
BPC Energy design and manufacture Uninterruptible Power Systems and Emergency Lighting Systems. The UK facility in Romsey manufactures single phase and three phase systems up to 30kVA and provides testing of all systems up to 500kVA.
A physical role requiring fitness and capability to cover 2 warehouse areas and 2 workshops and one live test area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Making Cables, Pick and Packing of cable kits for projects
- Assisting the Warehouse team with packing pallets, labelling of goods
- Moving equipment for test engineers
- Assisting in small parts stock taking and spare parts stock take and control
- Parts picking for production assembly of goods
- Keeping all areas of workshop and production areas clear of rubbish
- Emptying of bins and sweeping of production areas
- Assisting production team when required
Essential Skills and Requirements:
- Hard working and good time keeping skills
- Good understanding of written and spoken English
- Previous experience in similar environment would be helpful but not essential
- Good level of computing including a working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
Personal qualities
- The candidate will work in a team framework but have the ability to keep to deadlines and also be able to work independently
- Attention to detail and consistency of output
Desired qualifications
- 3 x GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above or equivalent (we are happy to accept school leavers)
