Due to our on-going commitment to expanding our product portfolio which is central to accelerating our growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Production Technician to become part of our highly motivated Operations Team.
About the role:
This role is primarily to carry out the manufacture of enzymes in a food grade environment and warehouse activities for the fulfillment of customer orders. You will have strong attention to detail and accuracy along with experience in following standard operating procedures, manual handling and wearing PPE, working with and maintaining/cleaning manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications/Education/Training:
- 2 GCSE’s Grades A-C including Maths & English OR equivalent OR
NVQ (L3) in Process or Manufacturing Operations or similar
- Fork lift training certificate (Desirable)
- Working at height
Experience:
- Operating manufacturing equipment
- Following Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintenance of production equipment
- Basic engineering/scientific/chemical process skills
- Manual handling
- Working in a food manufacturing environment
- Working in controlled areas e.g., GMP, Clean room
- Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Management systems
Knowledge:
- Safe operation of a range of plant/machinery/set and adjust controls
- Aseptic handling of micro-organisms
- Food Safety and HACCP

- On time despatch of products, services, and samples

Need to know:
- Safe handling of respiratory sensitisers
- Safe manual handling
- Fork Truck licence (Desirable)

- Operation and cleaning of mechanical handling equipment
Need to be able to do: (Key activities)
- Preparation of blending facilities (wet & dry) to the correct hygiene levels
- Operation of blending facilities (wet & dry) to produce enzyme blends
- Weighing, rounding numbers and conversion between units of weight
- Packaging of powder and liquid products
- Inputting information into MRP software to manage stock
- Manufacture and packaging of product samples
- Routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment
- Work in accordance with FSSC 22,000, GMP, Quality & EHS management systems
- Carry out the responsibilities stated in the Managing Director’s Health & Safety Policy, in particular those detailed in paragraph 8d of the management directive
