The Company:
MC Diagnostics is a specialist molecular diagnostics company with expertise in the automation of multiplexed molecular assays and custom designed image analysis and interpretation software.
The Position:
Laboratory based manufacture and testing of In vitro diagnostics test kits. The process involves preparation of DNA probe sets, operation of liquid handling instruments, operation of microarraying instruments, set up of pcr testing, operation of dedicated test equipment and analysis of results.
This is a highly specific set of processes for which little or no practical experience is required. Full training will be given.
A degree in a Life Science subject is a minimum qualification, though candidates wishing to undertake a degree apprenticeship will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operation of Genetix Qarray instruments for fabrication of microarrays
- Operation of Inspect a spot instruments for inspection of fabricated arrays
- Operation of Mr Spot instruments, for testing of fabricated arrays
- Operation of generic laboratory equipment
- Undertaking of all quality control processes
- Documentation of all activities according to the defined quality system (ISO13485) Cleaning and maintenance of laboratories and equipment according to SOPs
- Maintenance of timesheets
- Develop knowledge of the science surrounding the application of MCD products
- Understanding the development pathways of the products
The Candidate:
- Honours degree in a Life Science subject
- Good time management skills
- Good organisational skills
- Full knowledge of Microsoft office
- Flexible and adaptable
