Job Title: Production Operative (Brazing)

Salary: £20,700 Per Annum (Monthly Pay)

Working Hours: 38 Hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07.30 to16.00 and Friday 07.30 to 12.50
About the Role:
Our production operatives in brazing, are the ‘glue’ that keep our products together.
Working in one of our four value streams you will be responsible for completing production activities within set timescales, setting up and operating task specific machinery, manual assembly methods as well as using hand tools.
Sticking brazing using braze rods, paste, and soldering rings (Flame/torch method) from a variety of materials to join mainly Brass and Steel. Using solder and brazing flux powder.
Recording and reducing scrappage by reporting deviations and non-conformance’s, promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company production schedules
- Housekeeping – daily/regular cleaning of work equipment and work area, ensuring all equipment is always available to operators and brazing residues etc. are regularly disposed of ensuring that the area is a safe working environment, and that high levels of cleanliness and orderliness are sustained. This is essential to ensure a quality product
- Assist in the Maintenance and upkeep of tools and machinery, reporting any issues production manager.
- Testing and inspecting of product
- Accurately report production activities
About you:
- Previous experience working on a productions/assembly line
- Some experience of brazing (stick brazing using braze rod, braze paste (flame/torch method) would be advantageous however not essential
- Good attention to detail
- Computer/IT Literate with good understanding of Word, Outlook, databases etc
