Role Overview
TechSkills is the employer-led skills body for tech and digital. We help learning providers develop, deliver and grow education and training courses which are valued by industry.
We do this with products and services which include accrediting and promoting courses that meet industry standards; managing a growing community of employers and learning providers working collaboratively on digital skills; orchestrating employer supported development experiences for students; and issuing digital credentials for learners which show the skills they have achieved in a form industry values. We have a growing range of offerings for degrees, apprenticeships, training programmes and skills bootcamps.
As the Offering Development Manager, you will work with colleagues to understand the needs of employers and learning providers and identify how TechSkills can address them. You will create offerings to meet the needs of different markets, whether by bringing together existing assets and processes or creating new ones, and will maintain the currency of what we deliver. This is a ‘hands-on’ role that requires someone who welcomes the opportunity to put ideas into action and deliver results.
You will work with colleagues to make sure offerings are deliverable at a price that works for our customers. You will create and maintain up to date documentation about our portfolio of offerings for use by our clients.
You will report to the Client Services and Solutions Director, and work closely with Sales, Marketing and Service Delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess feasibility of new offerings, ensuring employer backing, customer demand, delivery capability and profitability.
- Develop new offerings to meet employer and provider needs.
- Design delivery processes for quality and efficiency
- Optimise existing offerings to improve provider, learner and employer satisfaction.
- Identify and put in place contracts with third parties as required.
- Create the documentation suite for new offerings for both internal and external audiences, and support marketing to create sales support resources.
- Ensure all copy relating to offerings is up to date, including on the website, in marketing materials and in contracts.
Essential Competencies, Knowledge and Experience
- A proven track record of product / services / offering development.
- Excellent written communication skills, ranging from high level summaries and presentations for executives through to detailed offering documentation.
- Customer focus, with the ability to analyse and understand market needs.
- A background in skills and / or education & training.

Additional Information
This is a full-time role and home based. You can be based anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel across the UK.
The successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK prior to the commencement of employment.
