The Role
We have an exciting new vacancy for an experienced Procurement Analyst to work within our support services department. Reporting to the Support Services Director and working closely with the Financial Controller and his team, you will lead the procurement department to ensure that all work is carried out as per Excalon processes and procedures.
The Person
We are looking for a strong analyst and supervisor with proven experience of working within a procurement function.
Purpose of the role
You will manage the performance of your team to support the commercial and delivery teams to provide effective procurement services across the Company.
You will take full accountability for the supervision of the procurement function including team management, reviewing and establishing processes and procedures, updating systems, analysing data and producing reports in addition to managing incoming calls and processing orders.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to drive best value, you will develop and secure good working relationships with suppliers placing orders on a daily basis. You will manage supplier contracts, verify prices and ensure accurate delivery of quality products.
You will also be responsible for updating the ERP system and answering the order telephone along with your team on a daily basis and will liaise with Finance to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner according to agreed payment terms. You will also be the main point of contact for any procurement issues.

- Track and monitor materials and waste records and carbon capture
- Build positive relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Drive process and system improvements to ensure efficiency
- Update systems and produce management information
- Manage incoming calls and process orders
Hours of Work
You will be required to work 37.5 hours from 8.30am to 5pm though some flexibility will be required to cover shifts within the working window of 7am and 5pm.
